MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor R. Dowds

That the Manager presents a report on how the request to block the through road at Méile an Rí Crescent, Balgaddy might be best achieved and the timescales involved.

REPORT:

An onsite meeting was held on 14th January, 2011 at which it was agreed that one of the roads at Méile an Rí Crescent would be blocked off by means of the erection of four steel bollards.  The location of this traffic calming measure was taken with the full agreement of a representative group of local residents together with the Gardaí and the Council's Roads and Traffic Department.

It is understood that the works in question will be completed by May but in the meantime the road would be temporarily blocked off with boulders.
