MOTION: Councillor C. King

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide details of how many one, two and three bed units are to be made available for allocation for social and voluntary housing at the two on site developments on the John of God's and respond sites at Springfield".

REPORT:

The Springfield development by RESPOND and St John of Gods includes 190 units of social and voluntary housing accommodation as follows and is funded through the Capital Assistance Scheme and the Capital Loan and Subsidy Scheme;

127 no. 1 bedroom units -  for persons with intellectual difficulties, vulnerable persons and the elderly.

48 no. 2 bedroom units - for general needs housing

15 no. 3 bedroom units - for general needs housing.

All units will be allocated to persons included on the Council's Housing List.
