QUESTION NO.2
QUESTION: Councillor R. Dowds
To ask the Manager what is being done to tackle the problem of loose, frequently starving horses, in our County?
REPLY:
Where the Council is aware that there are loose or abandoned horses in the public domain, the Council's Parks Department will round up the animals and bring them to the horse pound in Dunlavin. Inspections are carried out to establish where the horses actually are where necessary. In addition the Council is now part of a regional contract for horse roundups and pound services.
