QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager for an update on the ongoing review of the Council's Play Policy and to request that provision of a children’s play-area in Palmerstown be included in the revised policy?

REPLY:

The review of the Council's Play Policy is ongoing.  As part of the review process, the Five Year Playground Construction Programme 2007-2012 will also be reviewed as an action arising from the Play Policy.  The request for the provision of a children's play area in Palmerstown is noted. The advancing of playground projects included in the Playground Construction Programme will be dependant on the identification of the necessary finance at that time.
