QUESTION: Councillor R. Dowds

To ask the Manager for an update on the possibility of pedestrian lights and vehicular traffic lights at the junction of Cherrywood Crescent and the New Nangor Road?

REPLY:

The junction will be inspected and a count carried out to see if a vehicle warrant exists. Should a warrant be observed a preliminary junction signal scheme will be developed subject to finance being available.

A recent pedestrian count did not reach a warrant as pedestrians were split between the junction and the existing nearby pedestrian crossing.
