QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager, further to my motion at the October meeting; for an update on my requests that the balustrading to Lucan bridge be repaired and repainted in accordance with recommendations of the National Tidy Towns 2010 adjudication report? 

REPLY:

The Engineer has arranged to meet a contractor next week on site and will get a quotation from them.  Proposed work scope is to repaint the bollards (balustrade), replace the broken capping stone and power-hose the bridge deck. All works are subject to the availability of the necessary finance.
