  The Other side of the Story This is a fun way to discover how we are different and the same through this book display.  Be a part of the story and begin to read and share experience with friends and family during Social Inclusion Week 2010 Monday 8th – Friday 19th November
  Art Workshop with Social Inclusion Office – The aim of the art workshop is to create an artistic sensory piece incorporating the five senses.  The method that will be issued is fabric and appliqué. 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, November from 11am – 12noon Booking Essential on 4149270.
  Social Inclusion Week “A Bit Of The Other” directed by Edmund Lynch.  From its origins as a one-off extravaganza in Side nightclub in 1987 to its current status as an annual entertainment highlight which packs out the Olympia Theatre in Dublin each March, A Bit of the Other is a documentary celebration of Alternative Miss Ireland and all it’s madness and magnanimity as a highly successful charity fundraiser.   Social Inclusion Week Screening of the DVD Garden for All Seasons.  South Dublin Social Inclusion Unit and Parks Department have worked closely with Menni Services in Tallaght (connected to St. John of God) towards the creation of a Sensory Garden in Sean Walsh Park, Tallaght.  The project commenced in September 2008 and has developed beyond all expectations.  The clients of Menni Services (Children & Adults with Disabilities mainly from the Tallaght Area) are using the outdoor garden for horticultural therapy and instruction on a weekly basis.  The project won the overall prize in the category “Innovation in Developing / Supporting Partnerships” in the St. John of God Innovation Awards 2010.
