MOTION NO.  13

MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That the Manager presents a report to this Committee on the very low number of housing allocations in Clondalkin this year considering the huge numbers on the housing list. 

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council has awarded 43 tenancies to Housing List applicants in 2010 up to 31/10/2010, of these 32 were casual vacancies and 11 new build dwellings.  At present there are 19 vacant dwellings in the Clondalkin area which will be tenanted shortly, there are also 6 new build dwellings which are expected for handover in 2010.  The Council has also awarded 25 transfers to alternative accommodation in the Clondalkin area in 2010.

Please note there were 55 casual vacancies tenanted in the Clondalkin area for 2009.
