To ask the Manager to prepare and provide a report on the number of vacant housing units in the area of South Dublin County Council, broken down by accommodation type, size of development and Local Electoral Area?

REPLY:

There are currently 91 housing units vacant countywide, 23 in Clondalkin/ Lucan and 68 in Tallaght/Rathfarnham.  30 of these have only been surrendered back into stock since the 1st of September.  There are 20 of these ready for allocation and tenants have been sourced for 36 of these units.  21 of these units are being upgraded under the energy programme, which means these particular units take a bit longer.   The following is the list of vacant properties in  electoral area,  date property was surrendered, current status of work , tenant sourced, size of accommodation and  any further comments:
