MOTION: Councillor P. Kearns

That this Committee calls on the Manager to detail the number of Litter Wardens allocated to the Tallaght Central area, and the number of fines imposed for litter/dog fouling in the last twelve months in the area.

REPORT:

In the past 12 months, two Litter Wardens were assigned to areas that included the Tallaght Central Local Electoral area.  In the period 01/10/2009 to 30/09/2010 there were 539 fines of all types issued.  Of these, 121 were issued for offences in Tallaght Central.  None were issued for dog fouling offences.
