QUESTION NO. 13
QUESTION: Councillor P. Kearns
"To ask the Manager if he will arrange to have graffiti removed from all public buildings in the whitehall Road/Close Gardens area; and if he will provide an information leaflet for the residents outlining where they may get assistance for the removal of graffiti from their premises?"
REPLY:
A full assessment of the Whitehall Road/Close/Gardens area has been carried out by a Litter Warden this week (week commencing 11th October) to ascertain the amount of graffiti present. The Warden reports that there is a small amount of graffiti in the area, some of which is being referred to the Council's Graffiti Removal Crew for their attention while the remaining graffiti is on public utility boxes and are being referred to the relevant utility company for removal.
While there is no budgetary provision for such specific information leaflets, any enquiries in relation graffiti should be directed to the local Litter Warden who will assist residents in removing graffiti from their property as necessary and will also arrange or enforce removal of graffiti on other property as appropriate.
