QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

"To ask the Manager is he aware of clay and rubble coming from trucks particularly on wet days coming from the Respond Housing Building site at the rear of Virginia Heights and will he give a report on what action he /she has been taken to address this issue?"

REPLY:

The local Litter Warden regularly monitors the area in question and reports that the contractors have reasonably frequent sweeping arrangements in place when clay and rubble is being transported.  During recent wet weather the issue was more noticeable than usual but was addressed by the contractors to the satisfaction of the Warden.  However, the location will continue to be monitored as necessary.
