QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

To ask the Manager will he give a report outlining the discussions this Council has had with Tallaght Hospital in relation to parking difficulties and the effect inconsiderate and illegal parking may have had on fire tenders entering and accessing the Hospital area and statutory proposals if any that are to be introduced?

REPLY:

The management of the grounds of AMNCH Hospital is a matter to be addressed by the Hospital authorities.

The Council has an ongoing relationship with the management and staff of the Hospital in relation to mobility management issues in the Tallaght area. This relationship has lead to cooperation on a number of mobility management and health promotion initiatives. In line with the Council's objective to further improve mobility in the county and specifically in the Tallaght Towncentre area, contact is likely to increase with the Hospital and the other major employers in the area over the coming period.
