MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for inspection of the green space between Bolbrook and Avonmore Park with a view to excavating and levelling the surface particularly adjacent to 18 Avonmore Park to enable depot staff to maintain the area to a satisfactory condition and to prevent it from being a dumping black spot.

REPORT:

The Parks and Landscape Services Department has no plans currently to either excavate or level the ground adjacent to 18 Avonmore Park: the Parks and Landscape Services  Department does however plan to upgrade the pedestrian footpaths on the open spaces in the Bolbrook/Avonmore area once the resources to do so have been identified.  Following the completion of this footpath upgrade work the Parks Department envisages undertaking some landscape work on the open space which will help improve the levels of maintenance in the area.  The works should also alleviate the problems that may be experienced by the residents concerned.
