MOTION: Councillor C. Brophy

That this Committee calls on the Manager to review the operation of the new lights at Orwell Shopping Centre and to ensure that illegal parking by Dublin Bus is stopped. The Parking by Buses which has been a problem for years has been compounded by the new lights.

REPORT:

The operation of the traffic signals at Orwell has been monitored since their installation earlier this year. No complaints have been received on the signal operation. The parking near the location of the signals will be discussed with Dublin Bus and if deemed necessary double yellow lines will be recommended for installation at this location.
