MOTION NO.3
MOTION: Councillor C. King
That this Committee calls on the Manager to arrange for relevant works to be carried out on Kiltalown View at the entrance to Kiltalown Park to ensure Quad and other motorized bikes are unable to gain access to the Park at this location as residents and park users are being terrorized by the operators of such vehicles.
REPORT:
The boundary to Kiltalown Park at Kiltalown View is a site of serious anti-social activity. This boundary has been repaired on numerous occasions by the Parks Department in an effort to prevent access to the park by Quads and motorbikes. The only realistic solution may be to install a kissing gate or K Barrier which will allow pedestrian access but prevent vehicles gaining entry to the park. If this proves to be feasible, arrangements will be made to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
