QUESTION: Councillor C. King
To ask the Manager how many window replacements have been carried out in Council Houses to date this year, how much of the allocated budget has been spent, how many more houses are due to be completed this year and finally how many grade 5's are currently on the list and how much would it potentially cost to complete all grade 5's that will not be reached this year?
REPLY:
There is a total 414 houses with grade 5 windows following inspections to date.
At the end of August 173 units were at various stages of the process at an estimated cost of €885,528 leaving a balance of €114, 472, which will leave enough funding to complete a further 20 units. The entire budget of €1 million will be spent by end of September at which stage windows will have been completed in approximately 193 houses.
The estimated cost of the remaining grade 5s at the end of the year will be approximately €1.3. Listed below is situation at the end of August
