Review of Waste Bye-Laws (in context of introduction of brown bin)

A powerpoint presentation on the introduction of brown bin was presented by Philomena Poole, Director of Services as part of the consultation process on the brown bin bye laws. Following contributions from Cllr Dowds, Cllr O’Connell, Cllr Lavelle, Ms Ruddock, Cllr Hannon, Ms Poole responded to the issues raised by the members. It was agreed advertise the change to the bye-laws as part of the public consultation.  It was also agreed that once the consultation process had been completed that a report would be circulated to the members of the SPC.

Dublin Waste Management Plan

A report on the Dublin Waste Management Plan was presented by L. Magee Senior Engineer. Following contributions from the SPC members Mr Magee responded to the issues raised by the members

Water Conservation

An up-date report on water conservation sub-committee actions was presented by S. O’Brien, Environmental Awareness Officer. Ms O’Brien agreed to contact the committee members to regarding organising a visit to Ballymore Eustace water treatment plant.

An up-date report was presented on this matter was presented by S. O’Brien Environmental Awareness Officer.
