QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to confirm the arrangements to remove or prune trees on the 2009-10 Arboricultural Programme which have still not been worked on due to issues with ESB and phone cables, or other complications?"

REPLY:

The Council is in the process of seeking prices from a number of specialized tree surgeons to undertake the necessary pruning works on trees adjacent to overhead ESB cables.  Subject to the necessary resources being available the required works should be started in early September of this year.
