QUESTION: Councillor P. Kearns

"To ask the Manager to comfirm the grass cutting schedule, and litter removal, including the frequency for the long grass roadside verges on the N81?"

REPLY:

Cutting of the N81 Centre Median is scheduled for Saturday 26th June 2010 subject to the finalisation of the Traffic Management arrangements. The verges are being addressed under a separate Traffic Management contract due to the fact that the Health and Safety requirements in these locations are different to the requiremtns for the medians and are scheduled to take place in early July 2010.

Further plans to cut the N81 Median and verges will be dependant on the availability of the necessary funds.
