QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if the Council is actively pursuing any proposals or plans for Park and Ride facilities in the County and if he will make a statement on the matter?

REPLY:

It remains a key objective of the Council to provide Park & Ride facilities along each of the national routes through our County.

The N4 and N7, in particular, are considered to be ideal corridors for the provision of such facilities.  Some preliminary discussions have taken place with The Department of Transport and other stakeholders with a view to progressing these proposals.

The Councillor will be advised as progress is made.
