QUESTION: Councillor C. Brophy

"To ask the manager to provide a disabled parking spot at the shops at Whitehall Road West at the Post office. To investigate if the parking outside these shops is in council control and if not to locate a parking site at the top of Rockfield Ave as near to the shops as possible and before the houses?"

REPLY:

This car park is not in charge of  South Dublin County Council and therefore the Council cannot provide a disabled parking bay in this carpark. No suitable location can be identified at the bottom of Rockfield Avenue near enough and in a safe location for the installation of a disabled parking bay to serve the shops at Whitehall Road West.

The Council will investigate with the owners of the shops and car park whether they would be willing to install a disabled parking bay in their carpark.
