Minutes

A discussion was held regarding the promotion water conservation. Seven actions to be explored as a means of water conservation promotion were decided upon as follows:

1.    To use connect to disseminate water conservation information

2.    To explore using drama as a form through which to disseminate the water conservation message

3.    Use the councils newsletter to disseminate the water conservation message

4.    Promote water conservation on UN World Water on 22^nd March 2010

5.     Promote water conservation via Eco-Week 19^th – 24^th April

6.    To create awareness around water butts and water harvesting as means of water conservation

7.    To explore the possibility of establish a demonstration  area for promotion of water conservation awareness

8.    Explore the possibility of Visits to Water Treatment Facilities

9.    Explore the possibility directly contacting parents committees to promote information to schools

 

Cllr Crowe’s email input was gone through and it was decided that S O’Brien would email the committees response to Cllr Crowe.

The next meeting was set for 15^th March 11am – 12pm, in the IT conference room.
