"That the Manager report to this committee on what progress has been made with the Pearse Brother flats refurbishment project."

REPORT:

The Council's Architectural Services Department have recently carried out a detailed examination of a number of maisonettes at Pearse Brothers Park and Palmer Park.  The information gathered at the inspection is now being compiled and informing the preparation of a full report on both the current condition of the units and what works can be carried out to address the concerns expressed by the residents. The Architects are currently examining the Building Energy Regulation data to determine the energy retention of the existing units.  This report will be completed in the coming weeks.    At that stage a public meeting of the residents will be called to explain what can be undertaken.
