MOTION: Councillor D. Keating

Allotments 1.3.41: It is the policy of this Council not to introduce allotments in open spaces, particularly in or adjacent to residential areas.

REPORT:

It is considered that Policy SCR61: Allotments and SCR62: Allotments in New Residential Developments adequately address the issue of provision and location of allotments in the County. It should also be noted that the Motion is negative in nature. Motions in relation to the Development must be positive in intent.

Manager’s Recommendation:

It is recommended that this Motion is not adopted.
