QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to arrange for the immediate clean up of the laneway between St Anthony's Crescent and St James' Road/St Brendan's Crescent in Greenhills, which is a serious blackspot for dumping, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The laneway in question has been inspected by the local Litter Warden who reports that while he found some litter and larger items dumped there, its condition was reasonable.  The Warden has listed the items in the laneway for removal by the Cleansing Section.  Unfortunately, no evidence was found to support a fine or prosecution but the Warden will continue to monitor this area as regularly as possible.
