QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager to consider the installation of litter bins at bus stops along the Greenhills Road, in particular at the town-bound stops in Tallaght Village, the junction of the Airton Road and near the Lidl supermarket at Greenpark?"

REPLY:

The Cleansing Inspector has reviewed the locations in question and reports that the bus stops at Lidl and the filling station are suitable for bin installation but that the bus stops at Tallaght Village and Airton Rd are not suitable as there is no safe locations for Cleansing Section vehicles to stop to service these locations.

The suitable locations identified above will be added to the list for possible litter bin installations for 2010.
