"To ask the Manager to report on the average cost of roofing repairs to Council owned dwellings in the Tallaght area, how many properties have required such attention, and the number of contractors who have been awarded such tenders?"

REPLY:

The average cost of roofing repairs to Council owned housing units in 2010 is €789 per unit.

84 housing units have required roofing repairs since 1st January 2010 to date in the Tallaght area.  There are three contractors employed by the Council to carry out all maintenance works in the Tallaght/Rathfarnham Areas, this work includes both pre-let repairs and response maintenance, which includes roofing.
