QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager, further to my motion agreed at the January meeting, if there has been any progress in arranging a briefing for the elected members by the Dept. of Education on their assessment of the future school-place needs of our county and their recommendations to this council ahead of the next phase of deliberations on the Draft Development Plan?

REPLY:

Letter to, and reply from, the Dept of Education are attached. The possibility of arranging a briefing for the elected members with the Department will be followed up prior to the formal Draft Development Plan meeting on 4th May, and members informed of progress in this regard.
