NEW WORKS
PROPOSED PART 8 FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE PATH SYSTEM AND A LINK TO THE DUBLIN MOUNTAINS WAY AT KILTIPPER PARK AND SEáN WALSH PARK, TALLAGHT.
Pursuant to the requirements of the Planning and Development Act 2000 and Part 8 Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2007, notice is hereby given of the proposal for long and short terms plans to construct primary circulation routes in Kiltipper Park and Seán Walsh Park, Tallaght.
The purpose of these circulation routes is:
Kiltipper Park
Seán Walsh Park
The proposed works are as follows:
Short term
Long Term
1. In Kiltipper Park to extend the Dublin Mountains Way route to create a pedestrian and cycle circulation network within Kiltipper Park and the construction of a car park accessed from Kiltipper Road. The pedestrian path system will be approximately 4km in length and the cycle path system approximately 3km in length.
2. In Seán Walsh Park to extend the existing pedestrian path system, create a new cycle path system and realign entrances to the park from Firhouse Road West.
In the case of Kiltipper Park the long term plans proposal for the circulation routes has been designed to have a minimum impact on the natural countryside appearance of the park and on existing hedgerows and wildlife. It also represents the first phase of the development of the park.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at:
(a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between the hours of9:00 am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am - 4.30pm on Friday (Inspection and purchase),
(b) County Library, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 between the hours of 9.45am-8.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.45am - 4.30pm Friday and Saturday (inspection only).
From Tuesday 30th March 2010 to Tuesday May 11th 2010.
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing before 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday 25th May 2010 to the:-
