QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

"To ask the Manager to erect “No Dumping” signs on the road reservation area between Hermitage Estate and Park Avenue, Grange Road?"

REPLY:

The provision of such signs are not considered to be effective and are not therefore a priority in the Council's approach to illegal dumping.

The local Anti-Litter Warden for the area will monitor the area concerned closely in the coming weeks and if any evidence is forthcoming regarding those committing the offences, the Warden will pursue enforcement under the Litter Pollution Act, where possible.
