MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager progress the Master Plan for the open space at Orlagh Grove and begin engaging with local Residents."

REPORT:

The Parks Department held a site meeting with residents of Orlagh Grove on February 25th last to discuss various issues relating to Orlagh Grove.  It was agreed to arrange a further meeting in the near future with representatives of the Residents Association to commence a local consultation process which would inform the development of a landscape masterplan for the open space at Orlagh Grove.  The purpose of the landscape masterplan will be to to guide the future development of the open space over the coming years having regard to identified local needs. It will also assist in prioritising the use of resources, as they become available, to undertake works in an organised and cohesive manner to achieve the objectives set out in the masterplan.
