QUESTION NO. 6
QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe
"To ask the Manager can he give a report outlining the cost to upgrading the hut located beside the allotments in Bohernabreena and outline the exact purpose of this building?"
REPLY:
The hut located on the grounds of the Friarstown Allotment Facility was re-instated in 2009, which included the removal of rubbish and the painting of the hut. New windows and a door were installed and the steel screens from the windows were removed, the total cost came to just in excess of €2,000.00. The purpose of the hut is for allotment holders to use if they want to hold meetings, and there will also be a notice board attached to the hut for South Dublin County Council to put up notices which relate to the allotments.
