QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor C. Brophy
To ask the manager to provide a list of tree removals and pruning carried out in Orwell as part of this year’s program. Can the manager also indicate what trees if any were part of the list supplied by the residents association following the deputation meeting.
REPLY:
To date the Parks Department has removed a tree outside 455 Orwell Park Green. In addition, any trees on the list, as provided by the Orwell Park Residents Association, that are blocking street lights will be prioritised for pruning over the coming weeks as part of the current Arboricultural Programme which will be ongoing until the end of March. The Parks Department will also be undertaking works on the large open space at Orwell to thin out and prune the remaining groups of trees at this location.
