QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn
"To ask the Manager to arrange re-inspection of the Landy site off Knocklyon Road by the local litter warden and to provide a full update on what actions have been taken to remove litter and impose any fines?"
REPLY:
The site in question has been inspected by the local Anti-Litter Warden recently (02/02/2010) and the public area adjacent to the site is litter free. There appears to be some material to the very rear of the site, some 50 metres form the gated entrance to the site that may be litter but it is not easily visible form a public place and so may not come under the remit of the Litter Pollution Act but the local Anti-Litter warden will investigate further and take any necessary enforcement action as required. To date no action has been taken under the Litter Pollution Act in relation to this site.
