MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

This Council Committee calls on the manager in view of the concern regarding water preservation  to include in the social credit scheme the promotion of water preservation in communities and schools throughout the County.

REPORT:

A consultation process is currently underway regarding the social credit system. The promotion of water preservation in communities and schools will be taken into consideration during the development of the social credit system programme.

As part of the consultation process, open days for those who wish discuss the Social Credit System will be held as follows:

• 15^th February 2010, 2-4pm, Ballyroan library
• 16^th February 2010, 2-4pm, Lucan Library
• 18^th February 2010, 5.30-7.30pm, Clondalkin Jr Library
• 19^th February 2010, 2-4pm, County Library Tallaght

 Any further submissions on the Social Credit System will be welcomed.
