QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff
"To ask the Manager to make a report on the surface water drainage in relation to the persistent flooding caused by moderate to heavy rainfall, outside 161 and 161A Balrothery Estate and outside 17 and 18 St Aongus Crescent. Would the Manager also comment if the installation of a speed ramp at the St Aongus location is adding to the recurring flooding?"
REPLY:
Both locations have been inspected and there is no evidence of immediate problems. The traffic calming ramp does not extend to the kerb and therefore does not conflict with the gully. However, further investigation will be carried out at both locations and arrangements will be made to have the drainage lines jetted and cleaned.
