QUESTION: Councillor C. Brophy

"To ask the Manager, as a result of the passing of this years Council Budget,to outline the proposed budget for Graffitti removal in 2010 compared to 2009 and the impact this will have on graffitti removal in this ward?"

REPLY:

The 2010 Budget has a provision of €50,000, excluding wages (which have reduced by the public service pay reductions announced by the Minister for Finance in the National Budget), for graffiti removal which compares to €51,900 in the 2009 Revised Budget.  It is not envisaged that there will be any significant impact on the service provided.
