QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Manager to arrange for the removal of graffiti, abusing a Community Garda, at the entrance pillars to Tymon Park, at the St Aongus entrance and to remove the general graffitti on the entrance pillars of Bancroft Park, at the Bancroft Road entrance and to note the negative impact that this graffitti has on  residents and visitors alike and to make a statement on it?"

REPLY:

The graffiti referred to has been inspected by the local Anti-Litter Warden who has requested that the Graffiti Removal Crew attend to both locations.  Given the nature of the graffiti at Tymon Park , the crew as been requested to prioritise the removal of it.

The Council, through the Anti-Litter Wardens and the Graffiti Removal Crew, makes every effort to tackle instances of graffiti through enforcement or removal as appropriate.
