QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Manager to consider the erection of a security railings on the top of the wall running alongside the new infill housing at St Aongus Crescent and the rear of Centra, Castletymon, to enhance security for the residents and help prevent antisocial behaviour at this location?"

REPLY:

The Estate Officer for Tymon North has visited this location and following discussion with interested parties has established that young children are the source of the nuisance in question.

It is proposed to call to all householders in the immediate vicinity and to issue verbal warnings where appropriate. If this course of action does not resolve the problem other measures will be examined to deter children from climbing on the boundary walls.
