"That the Manager present a plan to this Committee on how it could progress the road project at Park Avenue/Hermitage Estate that would connect the Grange Road to Nutgrove.  Could it be integrated with the new QBC for the Grange Road.

REPORT:

The proposed Barton Road East Extension (linking Grange Road and existing Barton Road East Extension) is included in the current County Development Plan as a six year road proposal. Due to the current funding situation, the programme for delivery of this road has been deferred and in the circumstances it is not now possible to identify when preliminary design will commence.

At present there are no plans to construct a QBC on this section of the Grange Road, south of its junction with Nutgrove Avenue, or along Barton Road East, and consequently there is no funding currently available from the DTA/QBN Office.
