MEETING OF RATHFARNHAM AREA COMMITTEE

MOTION NO. 11

MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Committee requests that traffic lights be installed at the entrance to Templeroan estate."

REPORT:

Templeroan estate is a large estate with a single entrance / exit. A school is also accessed from the estate. The main road at the entrance caters for traffic between Scholarstown and Templeogue. This traffic is mostly of a local nature. During school times both the school access within the estate and residents heading to other schools add to the normal commuting traffic.

It is proposed to carry out a traffic survey of the estate to establish if junction signals are warranted.
