QUESTION NO. 2
QUESTION: Councillor E. Coburn
"To ask the Manager for an update on the status of Bolton Hall and Ballyroan Lodge?"
REPLY:
In relation to Bolton Hall a full update on the status to date has been provided under Item 21340. In relation to Ballyroan Lodge a Warning Letter has been issued by the Enforcement Section to the owner of Ballyroan Lodge reminding him/her of their obligations under the Planning and Development Act 2000 in relation to a duty of care and the safeguarding of a Protected Structure. The owner has been requested within one week of receipt of the Warning Letter to contact the Council’s Conservation Officer to discuss the necessary works to ensure the building is water tight and that the structure and site is made secure. If the owner fails to comply with this request this will lead to the initiation of Section 59 proceedings under the Planning and Development Act 2000.
