"To ask the Manager to provide a comprehensive list giving numbers and location and date of surrender of all vacant houses in the Tallaght area along with a reason for each vacancy and the expected turnaround/reletting date?"
REPLY:
On 27/11/09 the current vacant dwellings in the Tallaght area is as follows: There are 103 vacant dwellings, 15 have been surrendered in the month of November. There are 39 vacant dwellings as a result of transfer of tenants, full list of vacant dwellings attached.
Of these work is ongoing on 41, 39 of which will be ready for allocation on or before 11/12/2009. 19 dwellings are included in the Energy Programme. 17 tenants have been sourced to date and 16 refusals of offer have been received. The remaining 62 will be commenced as the above number are completed. We have relet 146 houses countywide up to end of October.
A new relet process whereby we are prioritising the sourcing of new tenants has been put in place to ensure work is not being redone as a result of vandalism. Reasons for vacancies are as follows:
