MOTION: Councillor J. Hannon

That Kiltipper Drive be reinstated as a matter of urgency and the path linking Kiltipper Drive to Kiltipper Road be also restored, given that it is now many months since the area was 'dug-up' to facilitate the Boherboy Water Scheme.

REPORT:

Final reinstatement of Kiltipper Drive and the path linking Kiltipper Drive to Kiltipper Road will not be completed until the completion of a section of pipeline between Killininny Road and Kiltipper Drive and the successful testing of this section.

There is still a short section of pipeline to be laid along The Drive to connect to the new main currently being laid along Kiltipper Road.  It is anticipated that this section of pipeline and pressure testing will be complete by the end of the year.  The road reinstatement will then be undertaken.

The quality of the existing temporary reinstatement is regularly monitored and is considered to be of good quality.  Should it deteriorate, maintenance work will be implemented immediately.
