MOTION: Councillor C. Keane

"That this Committee discusses with the aid of an up to date report the proposal for a SDCC community office – one stop shop in the Rathfarnham electoral area."

REPORT:

Plans to significantly expand Ballyroan Library to include additional meeting rooms and extended central floor space, allows for the accommodation of a one stop shop facility for local residents. With such a facility citizens could access web based information and have their customer care queries answered by staff. A grant application for this redevelopment has been submitted to the DOEHLG for consideration in the 2010 funding allocation.
