QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

That this committee resolves to initiate preparation of a new coordinated strategy involving both the Council and Gardai aimed at tackling anti-social behaviour in and around the county’s parks.

REPLY:

An Garda Síochána liaises with Mr. John Lyons of the South Dublin County Council parks department and has access to all parks in the District. Patrols are conducted in the parks on foot and on pedal cycles Gardai will work in conjunction with the Council in developing new strategies to patrol these areas.
