QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor, TD

To ask the manager to present an update on action taken in respect of issues raised at the most recent meeting of Gardaí with Kingswood Heights Residents Association and in reporting will he confirm if there are any plans to service the Kingswood Heights area from one Garda Station.

REPLY:

Reported difficulties centre around the shopping precinct which is in the Clondalkin area.  Gardaí including local Community Gardaí from Tallaght are patrolling the shopping precinct to deal with anti-social behaviour there.  The allocation of the area to the Tallaght sub-district is being considered as part of the alignment of Garda and county boundaries.  Local Community Gardaí maintains contact with local community representatives and meetings have been attended by Garda management.
