QUESTION NO. 6

QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to have the footpath between the Yellow House and Village Court, particularly in front of the newsagency, be reinstated and upgraded.  For ten years, and prior to that my colleague Senator Ormonde also pursued this issue.  Perhaps on my tenth anniversary as a Councillor this could be immediately addressed?"

REPLY:

In 2008, works were carried out to eliminate drainage problems and ponding in this area. The path has again been inspected and no tripping hazards were evident. There are therefore no plans at present to replace this section of path. However it will be considered for inclusion on a future footpath programme based on prioritisation and availability of resources.
