SPECIFIC LOCAL OBJECTIVES

Add; "Cherryfield/Beechfield Community Centre:

Investigate the provision of a community centre in the Cherryfield/Beechfield area of Dublin 12 in consultation with local residents."

REPORT:

Discussions have been ongoing since July 2008 and these discussions related generally to the upgrading of the Parks facilities in Beechfield Park.  Discussions have taken place regarding the possibility of upgrading an old building adjacent to the tennis courts for community purposes. It is understood that while some residents were in favour of this refurbishment proposal, other residents were not in favour.

This proposal can be further investigated by the Community Department in conjunction with Parks & Landscape Services Department.

MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that this Motion be adopted.
